Cornerstone Credentialing

FAQ

Frequently asked questions.

Getting started

What do I need to start?

Click Request a Quote and fill in the short form. After we agree on scope, we will ask for provider documents through a secure process. Please do not send documents through the website forms.

Do you work with solo providers or only large groups?

Both. We work with solo practitioners, small practices, growing groups and MSOs.

How long does credentialing take?

Timing varies by payer and application. We review your case and discuss an estimate, but no one can guarantee a payer's decision date. What we control is submitting a complete, accurate application and following up until the payer decides.

Pricing

How much does it cost?

Per-Application Enrollment: Starter, 1 to 20 applications; Growth, 21 to 50; Scale, 51 to 100; Enterprise, 100+, custom pricing. Managed Credentialing: Starter, 3 to 10 providers; Scale, 11 to 24 providers; Enterprise, 25+ providers, custom volume pricing. Every engagement is priced through an itemized written quote from the quote form, confirmed in writing before any work starts.

What is the difference between Per-Application Enrollment and Managed Credentialing?

Per-Application Enrollment is pay as you go, with a flat fee per application. It suits one-off enrollments or a short list of payers. Managed Credentialing is a monthly service where your credentialing expert coordinates your credentialing across your payers.

How does Managed Credentialing pricing work?

Managed Credentialing is billed monthly. Starter covers 3 to 10 providers and Scale covers 11 to 24 providers. Larger organizations with 25 or more providers get custom volume pricing. Every engagement is priced through an itemized written quote from the quote form.

What is included in the per-application fee?

Preparation, submission and payer follow-up for one provider with one payer.

Scope

Which payers do you work with?

Commercial payers, Medicare and Medicaid.

What happens if a payer rejects an application?

We keep following up with the payer until they reach a decision, and we confirm how corrections are handled in your written quote. No service can guarantee approval.

Do you offer ongoing support after enrollment?

Yes: recredentialing schedules, CAQH re-attestation tracking, and license and exclusion monitoring, quoted to your practice.

Working together

Who will work on my account?

Your credentialing expert coordinates your applications and payer follow-up, with one clear point of contact. You may still be asked for information and approvals along the way.

How do you handle my documents?

Provider documents are handled carefully, access is limited to the people working the account, and details are available on request.

Still have a question?

Ask it in the quote form notes, or email us. We answer plainly.
